Frosso's world

Frosso ... or how "to monadiko" came to Lemiers

Frosso, a small, proud Cretan goat misses her home

Frosso really exists (lived). In addition to humans, our Cretan family includes a large number of two- and four-legged animals, such as goats, sheep, cows, chickens, geese, cats and dogs. One of these four-legged friends was Frosso - a small, proud Cretan goat. Shortly after Frosso was born, her mother goat could no longer nurse her. We (better: my mother) took Frosso into care and the whole family took care of her. We fed her the milk bottle and had a blanket with the smell of the mother goat to keep her warm. Frosso survived and was part of the family for weeks - she lived under (sometimes on or above) us, together with the dog and cat (and mouse - if the cat was not hungry). She jumped around between our feet and kept us on our toes.

We introduce ourselves ...

Frosso comes to Aachen area for family reasons and finds a new home in the beautiful spot of Lemiers on the Dutch side.

soon, however, Frosso gets homesick ...

Aren't there any olive trees here? Why do the tomatoes taste so "different"? Where is my beloved cheese? I miss the smell of Greek herbs and the taste of Greek wine.

then a little piece of Greece comes to Lemiers ...

These considerations were an invitation and an incentive for us. And here is the result. Our small, unique (monadiko) Greek shop in Lemiers.

Thank you Frosso!
